SATGURU and DIKSHA IN NATH YOGIS

We can make someone our Guru but before that we should understand the importance of Guru in achieving our most desired spiritual path. Guru is a symbol of knowledge, guide and a spiritual healer. We may also define guru as a mediator or probably a chain to achieve the blessings or knowledge or experience of the Almighty.
Here I am putting some basic facts and the concepts about the SATGURU and the importance of satguru in the spiritual journey of an individual. OM is the origin as per the sanatan padhati. Omkar adinath is considered a Mahayogi Adinath . The GURU and SHISHYA, traditional may be thus attributed to Lord Shiva and Gorakh Nath ji is the yogic form of Adinath. Virtually the theory can be propounded that the GURU and SHISHYA tradition is the base of spiritual growth. The path leads to the mukti and moksha. so one must go for Diksha if aspiring for any advancement in terms of spirituality. In Nath yogis ther are two types of Diksha given. The one given to Grihsth (households) and second to the Sanyasis (have to remain without family life). The householder may later turn as sanyasi as per the orders of Satguru.
There five types of rituals in the nath samprday for the nath yogis which are given by different gurus or may be done by single or multiple gurus. The names of the gurus are named after the rituals. Like CHOTTI GURU, CHIRA GURU, UPDESHI GURU, BAHABUTI GURU, AND LANGOTI GURU, (I will discuss them in my later text)and very often the name of the disciple is changed. NATH title is given.
IT MUST BE CLEAR, the importance of satguru remains the utmost sometime referred as BHEKH BHAGWAN . in the picture Masya nath is with YOGI GURU MUKHTAR NATH JI.at DHUNASAHIB
I tried to give brief information. May lord Shiva Gorakh bless all …. ADESH ADESH … OM SHIV GORAKH !!!!!!

WHY THERE IS NEED TO AWAKEN THE KUNDALINI???

The question that lingers on the minds of the readers thats why there is a need to awaken the Kundalini? What is the purpose of waking up of that snake that is in a deep sleep?ans is often being asked ...
in my personal opinion and experience main purpose of awakening the Kundalini is to understand soul, mind and ishwarawad, and to view the world from reality and not from illusion.
To enhance one’s potential; to realize oneself for which we have taken birth otherwise we will keep coming back to this world of illusion until we realize ourselves in the true sense and get unity with ISHWARA, the PRAM TATVA. It is like taking birth again, to realize the main purpose of our existence.
Kundalini rise makes us pure and divine and makes us free from the miseries of the world. The determination in one’s character facilitates the process of rising of Kundalini to the desired level. Our mind should be focused. It should be free from mindless thinking. The control of one’s senses is of supreme importance. It directs the mind in the right direction and helps in the purification of mind and soul which in turn is the abode of God. i have put these umble words just to give view of the aspects. though i have strong notion that written words are not enough to explain the process and facts about the kundalini.
JUST FOLLOW THE PATH OF THE SATGURU, WORK CONSISTENTLY WITH PATIENCE, THE TRUTH WILL BE UNFOLDED WITH THE GRACE OF SHIVA AND SHAKTI.....(plz dont expect results in few days..may take years)...OM SHIV GORAKH, ADESH ADESH !!!!

ARE WE REALLY DEVELOPING as GOOD HUMAN BEINGS?

Recently I CAME ACROSS THE NEWS ABOUT USA , felt i must right something on it. its very serious problem as a human race we need to understand the logic of "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" a Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu texts such as the Maha Upanishad, which means "the world is one family" and we are the sons and daughters of mother earth (the prakriti). so there is no question of creating differences in human race based on caste, coloure, religious faith etc. i saw some data about USA saying:Overall, black (49%) and Native Americans (48%) victims reported most often, higher than whites (42%) and Asians (40%). Serious violent crime and aggravated assault against blacks (58% and 61%) and Native Americans (55% and 59%) was reported more often than against whites (51% and 54%) or Asians (50% and 51%). Native Americans were unusually unlikely to report a robbery (45%), as with Asians and a simple assault (31%).... i found it shocking..... may be factors like socio-economic conditions may be correlated with crimes. (need more research)... but i feel as a human being we must live with harmony and repect the basic principal of life .... "love and being loved ".... a text in ATHARV VEDA SAYS" ALL ARE EQUAL IN BIRTH AND DEATHS, THE DIFFERENCE ARISE IN THE INTERVAL , (WHICH IS MAN MADE NOT BY NATURE )....EMPEROR AND BEGGAR ARE BORN NEKAD , THEY SLEEP EQUALLY AND AND BOW OUT (PHYSIOLOGICALLY THEY ARE SAME).. i think in this era VEDAS and UPANISHADS fine more relevance, we need to educate the people more about these.... May there be peace in this UNiVERSE...we (shree Nath yog Edu and Res. Foundation) have this idea so let us join the mission to have better society OM SHIV GORAKH ...ADESH ADESH

INTENSITY OF NOISE MAKING IS DETERMINED AS THE LEVEL OF RELIGIOUS FAITH..

We are putting this article considering the noise and its impact especilaly when the fetivsal seasons is on in INDIA. sometimes its reflected as , MORE HE MAKES NOISE , MORE RELIGIOUS THE PERSON IS ... RELIGIOUS places put large loudspeakers starting playing BHAJANS,, (virtually Bollywood songs only wordings are changed) posing problems to students, patients and old aged persons. still unaware of the fact the authorities pay no attention. beacuse the seriousness of the noise pollution is never understood in INDIA......
Pollution is a noise derived from the verb pollute. Section 2 (c ) of the Environment (Protection ) Act, 1986 defines environmental pollution to mean the presence in the environment of any environmental pollutant. Section 2 (b) of the said Act defines environmental pollutant to means any solid, liquid or gaseous substance present in such concentration as may be ,or tends to be injurious to environment.
Noise can be described as sound without agreeable musical quality or as an unwanted or undesired sound. Thus noise can be taken as a group of laud, non harmonious sounds or vibrations that are unpleasant and irritating to ear.Noise is defined as unwanted sound. Sound which pleases the listeners is music and that which causes pain and annoyance is noise. At times what is music for some can be noise for others.
Most of the machines that have been developed for industrial purposes, for high speed transportation,or to make life more enjoyable,by furnishing additional comfort, reducing the drudgery of everyday living, and speeding up our daily routines to provide additional leisure hours, are accompanied by noise. Noise prevention and control is important as noise affects us in hearing, abilityto communicate and behaviour.Undoubtedly, lesser noise can make the environment more friendly and life becomes pleasant.
Public Address System
• License must be obtained by all parties intending to use loudspeakers or public address system for any occasion.
• Public address system and loudspeakers should not be used at night between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. except in closed premises.
• Loudspeakers should be directed at the audiences and not away from audience (i.e.not towards the neighbourhood).
• Loudspeakers should not be allowed for advertisement and commercial activities.
• The permitted strength of power amplifier should be just adequate to cover the audience, and noise level beyond the boundary limit of the noise source premises should not be increased by more than 5 dB(A) above the ambient noise level.
Article 21 of the Constitution guarantees life and personal liberty to all persons. It is well settled by repeated pronouncements of the Supreme Court that right to life enshrined in Article 21 is not of mere survival or existence. It guarantees a right of persons to life with human dignity. Any one who wishes to live in peace, comfort and quiet within his house has a right to prevent the noise as pollutant reaching him.
PLEASE HELP US TO EDUCATE PEOPLE THAT NOISE MAKING IS NOTHING TO DO WITH SPIRITUALISM

KHECHRI MUDRA IN NATH HATH YOGA

WE ARE PUTTING TEXT ABOUT THE MUDRA FOR THE INFORMATION ONLY PLEASE DONT TRY THIS UNLESS PROPERLY INTIATED
The Khechari Mudrâ is accomplished by thrusting the tongue into the gullet, by turning it over itself, and keeping the eyesight in the middle of the eyebrows. To accomplish this, the tongue is lengthened by cutting the frænum linguæ, moving, and pulling it. When it can touch the space between the eyebrows, then Khechari can be accomplished.Taking a sharp, smooth, and clean instrument, of the shape of a cactus leaf, the frænum of the tongue should be cut a little (as much as a hair's thickness), at a time. Then rock salt and yellow myrobalan (both powdered) should be rubbed in. On the 7th day, it should again be cut a hair's breadth. One should go on doing thus, regularly for six months. At the end of six months, the frænum of the tongue will be completely cut.Turning the tongue upwards, it is fixed on the three ways (œsophagus, windpipe and palate.) Thus it makes the Khechari Mudrâ, and is called the Vyoma Chakra. The Yogî who sits for a minute turning his tongue upwards, is saved from poisons, diseases, death, old age, etc.He who knows the Khechari Mudrâ is not afflicted with disease, death, sloth, sleep, hunger, thirst, and swooning. He who knows the Khechari Mudrâ, is not troubled by diseases, is not stained with karmas, and is not snared by time. The Siddhas have devised this Khechari Mudrâ from the fact that the mind and the tongue reach âkâśa by its practice........ADESH ADESH OM SHIV GORAKH

CONCEPT OF TRUE KNOWLEDGE (Materialistic Vs non Materialistic)

In life we always put focus upon others, how they behave, talk, react etc. and in the process of observing people around us we forget the essential part of our own lives, that is ourselves. It doesn’t mean we need to be
selfish but it certainly means we need to introspect ourselves to be a better human being, to be what we are expected of not by the dictates of the society but by the eternal time, space and universe. I am writing about two different concepts of knowledge and their comparison.
There are two schools of thought as I can visualize MATERIALISTIC AND NON MATERIALISTIC… THE academic degrees may give u good job, financial security and social respect. But if we think on the other hand, the spiritual growth and attainment provide the BLISS and the satisfaction bey7ond explanation. During my academic life (BSc, MSc, PhD… MBA etc ) I came across man learned people. Experts in their field were good human beings. But many of them were egoistic and self centred often indulged self appraisal.  But any knowledge that gives birth to self-praise and ego deteriorates the process of actual learning. If something is bringing negativity in the disposition it means that knowledge is not worth of being learnt similarly if the manner of  Bhakti is bringing in us the superiority complex that means a person has to re-look into the way he offers his prayers.
In addition what I learnt from my GURU, is somewhat I call far SUPERIOR to the knowledge gained b m academic degrees as It has greater visualization and practicability.
I recall one day when m Satguru told me to bring “Datun”(small potion of branch if a tree for teeth ) one evening. I wnt to another Sadhu and asked him to cut Datun for  me . He explained me why its not the right time to cut the Datun, (TREES SLEEPS IN THE EVENING, THE FACT THE SCIENTIST DISCOVERING THESE DAYS, OUR ANCESTORS HAS KNOWLEDGE FOR THOUSANDs OF YEARS).  IN THE THE MORNING SADHUS WORSHIPPED THE TREE AND HE CUT THE DATUN.
This incident my SATGURU MADE ME LEARN TWO THINGS: 1. Respect to nature (trees).  2. Time to do the things ,, one should respect others for suitability of the time and work accordingly.. There are many instances were the SATGURUS  knowledge surpasses the materialistic knowledge, which is more related to experiences and introspection. That’s why called AGAM –NIGAM VIDYA
Self-examination is vital on the way of spiritualism. Self-examination can be termed as checking one’s own thoughts and actions. When it happens the period of self-realization begins which leaves an ample space for the aspirant to overcome his shortcomings on his journey to God. It frees one from all the vices which resides involuntary in our soul and drives our actions.

TANTRA : ITS ORIGIN AND BASIC CONCEPT

We are putting this after deep analysis of the audiences and the present tantra practices of teachings. Here we want to put that the tantra and the real definition of the tantra be well understood. Tantra shastra is a a up veda of Atharv vaeda (one of the four Vedas i.e. Rig , Sam, Atharv and Yjur veda ). Some of the experts trace back the origin more before as OM and the origin of OMKAR. This may be attributed to the fact that the Beej swaroop of all most all mantra is OM, can be regarded as the main tatv of tantra.
In NATH samprday secret tantric practices were systamatised by the Sage Matsyendranath in his Kaulajnana Nirnaya. With the blessings of ADINATH (OMKAR SWAROOP, shiv ) Having Siva-Shakti blessings, Matsyendranath practiced ‘yogini kaula’ in the company of women. He establishes a new cult in Kamarupa where he was in the midst of shavite yoginis. Shakti is Kula. Siva is akula; their Union is Kaula giving rise to Kaula Marga path to moksha. It is to be noted that Siva in yoga is encircled by 64 yoginis. It is also to be noted that Kapilaka Saivism branched out as Kaula and Trika. Kapilaka Shaivism, in turn was a break away from Mantra Margha which also gave birth to Saiva Sidhanta, the forerunner to Tamil Shaiva Siddhanta. Mantra Margha and Atimarga, on the other hand, trace their origins in Non-Puranic Saivism which originated from Rudra worship. What ever may be the case every Vidya and marg traces origin from SHIV SHAKTI.
And we if consider Sanskrit shloka:
Sarvesrtha yen tanyante vayante trayante ch bhyyajyanan,
Iti tantrasya tantratvm tantragya parickshte II
It means that mantra and its proper usage in rituals, well explained systematic Puja and spiritual work accordingly. Its all is referred as tantra. Recently I came across many texts on TANTRA WORK and adds. I find so called yogis mix sex, passion with tantra and spiritualism very intelligently to attract people. I could visualize two possible reasons: one people understand the things in this manner mostly and second more suitable reason may that western people are very keen learner tend to know new things vey eagerly. Its not the right practice doing GREAT harm to the santan padhati and rich culture of Indian spiritualism. ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST PLEASE DON’T MISREPRESENT YOGA, FOR YOUR OWN BENEFITS.
And its also for the audiences to see the facts and study thoroughly the concept before following anybody. The shastra also recommend 7 majore shudis (purities) in any practice are the qualities for yogis:
Anga vasan mann bhumika dravyopkaran saar,
Nyay dravya vidhi-shudhta shudhi saat prakar
while doing tantra practice body, cloths, material, soul, rightfully earned money should be used, keeping in mind these 7 things in mind the practitioner must do practice other wise proves harmful. so please do tantra practice keeping these things in MIND. ADESH ADESH …..

THE BANDHS AND THEIR USE IN YOGIC PRACTICE: (MUL BANDH PART I)

we are sharing some knowledge on bandha ( locks) in yogic and spiritual path. its well versed fact that the mudras and asanas are the base of yoga and in addition to that proper bandhs and their combination withe suitable mudra gives better results in meditation and sidhi-sashna. we have discussed the different mudrasin our artcle. There are many types of bandhas but mainly Mula Bandha,( contraction of the perineum),Uddiyana bandha, (contraction of the abdomen into the rib cage)Jalandhara Bandha, ( the chin close to the chest).combination of all three is called MAHA BANDH, these are used to give direction and right channeling of KUNDALINI , energy or shakti, thus has great contribution when one aspires for such sidhis.,
as ur spiritual text say :
Nasti
     mudrasamam kinchit
    Siddhidam kshitimandale
“There is nothing in this world like Mudras for giving success.”

WE are giving information regarding MUL BANDH .

Mūla Bandha should be attempted first in antara kumbhaka (retention after inhalation). and it related with MULA chakra,
first , Press the Yoni with the left heel. Keep the right heel pressed at the space just above the organ of generation. Contract the anus and draw the Apana Vayu upwards. This is called Mula Bandha. The Apana Vayu which does the function of ejection of excreta has natural tendency to move downwards. Through the practice of Mula Bandha, the Apana Vayu is made to move upwards by contracting the anus and by forcibly drawing it upwards. The Prana Vayu is united with the Apana and the united Prana-Apana Vayu is made to enter the Sushumna Nadi. Then the Yogi attains perfection in Yoga. Kundalini activation starts, with practise the perfection can be achived and the duration of the process gradually increased. it is highly advised to do this under experts supervision. Yogi when intintd properly also reciev the grace of GURU MANTRA ,ASANA MANTRA and certain mantras by GURU MUKH (only from the mouth of satguru) not available in text as such, these mantra are also repeated in soul. the enrgy level increases,,   When the Apana is united with Prana, Anahata sounds (mystical inner sounds) are heard very distinctly. Prana, Apana, Nada and Bindu unite and the Yogi reaches perfection in Yoga. The proces is gradual and need faith and patience

PROCEDURE OF MAKING JANEU and IN NATH YOGIS

Janeu is a holy thread worn with nadi and pavitri by the NATH yogis. There is a complex procedure of making the same. The fine thread of black sheep wool is woven to make this. The length of the thread is about 12+ 0.5 metres (YOGI say it 12.5 hands long or arm length ). The thread is further woven from 16 thin threads in definite procedure by chanting the janeu Mantra for several days or may take months for completion. The woven janeu is now tied with the holy knot to make it circular. This knot is termed as Bhrama knot (called bhrama ganth). It is a firm faith in nath yogis it has the blessings of 64 yoginis, Six Yatis apart from Bhrama, Vishnu, Mahesh and shakti. The pavitri, and total omkar (three beads and nadi) is fixed in a peculiar fashion to make NAD-JANEU. Moreover, Bhrama, Vishnu and Mahesh represent rajas, satva and tamas guna respectively. Once the nad janeu is made then SATGURU teaches the mantra to desciple GURU MANTRA and mantras for NADI ADESH, AND THE PROCEDURE TO BE FOLLOWED WHILE BLOWING THE NADI.
NADI adesh has certain definite rules  its only done in front of SATGURU and Dhuna.  Disciple without nad janeu are only allowed to do SHAMBHU ADESH (with mantra). In this manner there are some procedures  and rules to be followed in the daily routines under the supervision of Satguru. With consistent and regular sadhna as per the directions of satguru for year the yogis increases his/her energy level in the spiritual path. As I know about my SATGRU, he has always stressed on SEWA and SIMRAN and selfless work for humanity. Prime duty of the YOGI is to do develop spiritually and to help others develop. Instead of indulging in wordly affairs Yogi must exemplifies the things his life, and practically realize the essence of doctrines, and become the living example.
Its  is to be noted I am putting this artIcle for information purpose only. Due to limitation of space and complexity I cannot go into details.  ADESH ADESH …OM SHIV GORAKH

RUDRAKSHA AND ITS IMPORTANCE IN SPIRITUAL PRACTICE of NATH YOGIS

Rudraksha, also rudraksh, Sanskrit: rudrākṣa ("Rudra's eyes"), is a seed is traditionally used for prayer beads in Hinduism . The seed is produced by several species of large evergreen broad-leaved tree in the genus Elaeocarpus  with ganitrus being the principal species used in the making of organic jewellery or mala. Rudraksha, being organic, is preferentially worn without contact with metal; thus on a cord or thong rather than a chain. The word rudraksha is derived from two words - rudra (रुद्र) and aksha (अक्ष).Rudra and aksha means the one who is capable of looking at and doing everything (for example, the third eye). Aksha also means axis. Since the eye can rotate on one axis, it too is known as aksha. Also Rudra means the one who weeps. A (अ) means to receive and ksha (क्ष) means to give. Hence, aksha (अक्ष) denotes the ability to receive or give. Rudraksha is the one that has the ability to wipe our tears and provide happiness.
The benefits have not been proven by science but rudraksha is believed to provide good support         for those who are constantly on the move and who eat and sleep in a variety of places. This is              because it is claimed to create a cocoon of the wearer's own energy. It is said that if the situation         around one is not conducive to one's kind of energy, one will experience difficulty settling                  down. This was noted as being especially difficult for sadhus and sanyasis as they were                        constantly moving, and were traditionally never supposed to rest their heads in the same places              twice. Likewise, the rudraksha may be helpful for travellers and professionals who eat and sleep        in a variety of places.
Sadhus or sanyasis of almost all panths living in the forest would have to resort to naturally available                water sources. A common belief was that, if the rudraksha is held above the water, it would go clockwise if the water was good and drinkable. If it was unfit for consumption, it would go counter-clockwise. This test was also believed to be valid for other edibles. When worn on a mālā, it was also said to ward off and act as a shield against "negative energies" for refrence i am showing picture osf my NAD-JANEU, this is age old practice to wear janeu like this amoungst The NTHA YOGIS , has a lot of deep meaning and significance in Nath yogis, it is used to do ADESH to SATGRU, and to Adesh at SAMADHI and dhuna ... more over it has been related to the KUNDALINI , the mantras are associated with the ADESH and given by the GURU during the intiation of YOGI. its important identity of Nath yogis and with constant and persistent yogic sadhna (mantra, asnas ,sidhis etc) the nath yogi achieves the goal of being called Nath. some remain grihisth (family) and some tyagi (leave home) .... the article is aimed only for information purpose and the deeper meaning of Adesh and nad janeu is complex to understand. can only be understood with penance and grace of true GURU (satguru)

SIMHASTHA KUMBHA :Ujjain ONE OF THE LARGEST HUMAN GATHERING ON EARTH (23rd April)

The Ujjain Kumbh is celebrated when Jupiter ascends into sun sign Leo's quarter or the Simha constellation of zodiac, which is why it is called 'Simhastha'.
In the Holy Scriptures too there is a mention of ‘Kumbh Mela’. In ‘Narada-Puranas’, ‘Kumbha-Mela’ has been referred to be very good. According to few scholars, this fair started in 3464 BC i.e. it is a tradition existing 1000 years prior to Harappa and Mohenjo-Daro culture. In 2382 BC, Vishwamitra (second) stated importance of having holy bath on ‘Magh Pournima’. In 1302 BC, Maharshi Jyotish impressed upon people the importance of holy bath on ‘Magh Pournima’.
In order to define the actual kumbh Mela history, It is difficult to say when the Kumbh mela exactly started. It is believed that when the churning of the ocean of milk took place in Krutayug, the Kumbha Mela began. The Gods and demons came together to acquire the pot of Amrut (Divine nectar) and decided to churn the ocean of milk. The king of serpents, Vasuki, was requested to serve as a rope around the mountain Meru to churn the ocean. Accordingly Vasuki became the rope and was tied around the mountain Meru. The ocean was churned with the Gods holding the tail of the serpent and the demons, the mouth.

During the churning, fourteen unique items emerged from the ocean – Poison, Kāmadhēnu (A wish-fulfilling cow), Uchhaih-ashrava (A white horse), Airavat (An elephant with four tusks), Koustubha mani (A diamond), Parijat Kalpavruksha (A wish-fulfilling tree), Devanganas (Celestial maidens) such as Rambha etc., Shri Lakshmidevi (Consort of Shrivishṇu), Sura (Alcohol), Som (Moon), Haridhanu (A  Divine bow), a conch, Dhanwantari and Amrutkalash or Amrutkumbh (Pot of Amrut).

When Deity Dhanwantari emerged from the ocean holding the Amrutkumbh, the Gods thought that if the demons became immortal upon drinking Amrut, they will create havoc in the world. They signalled Indra’s son, Jayant, who instantly took the Amrutkumbh from Deity Dhanwantari and ran in the direction of Heaven. To get hold of the Amrutkumbh, Gods and demons fought each other for 12 days and 12 nights, which are 12 years for the human. During the battle, the Amrutkumbh was kept down 12 times. Deity Sun protected it and the moon took care that the Amrut does not evaporate. The planet Jupiter (Guru) fought the demons and protected the pot. The 12 places where the drops of Amrut fell from the pot are considered to be the Kumbh Mela places as per the special position of the above mentioned planets. Of these 12 places 8 are in other lokas (Regions) and 4 on earth – Prayag (Allahabad), Hardwar (Haridwar), Ujjain and Tryambakeshwar-Nashik. At these places, the Kumbh Mela is held when the position of the planets and the tithi on which the Amrut drops fell on earth is the same. The Amrutkalash is also remembered during the Kumbh Mela.

Shree Bhima Kali Ji Temple, Sarahan Bushahr ( Himachal Pradesh ,India )

With its unusual architecture and wealth of wood carvings, Shri Bhima Kali Temple at Sarahan is the major monument that is duplicated no where else in the erstwhile hill states. Dedicated to the mother goddess Bhimakali presiding deity of the Rulers of former Bushahr Sate, situated at 2150 mtrs MSL this magnificent temple is about 180 kms. from Shimla. With its capital at Shonitpur this former princely state was extended up to entire area of Kinnaur where for somtimes Lord Shiva disguised himself as Kirat.Today, the then Shonitpur is known as Sarahan. Banasur, the ardent devotee of Lord Siva, eldest among the one hundred sons of great oblative demon King Bali and the great grandson of Visnu votary Prahlad, during the Puranic age was the ruler of this princely state.

Due to Usha-Anirudh affairs Lord Krishna fought here with him and in this battle Lord Siva stood against the former. The legend goes that head of the defeatd king Banasur was buried in front of the entry gate now marked as a raised platform to the first courtyard. Reaching a few steps up from the road to this paved courtyard pilgrims enter into a different world. After Banasur, Pradyuman the incarnation of cupid and the son of Lord Krishna became the Ruler of this Kingdom. Since then this Kingdom was governed uninterruptedly by the descendants of this dynasty till the end of the princely states in independent India. In the State capital this ruling family got constructed a splendid temple palace complex and recognised mothergoddess Bhimakali as the presiding deity of the ruling house.

The goddess according to another legend was consecrated earlier in the wooden stick of a sage Bhimgiri. Another hearsay about the manifestation of the goddess is reported to the Daksha-Yajna incident when the ear of the Sati fell at this place and became a place of worship as a Pitha - Sthan.Presently in the form of a virgin the icon of this eternal goddess is consecrated at the top storey of the new building. Below that storey the goddess as Parvati, the daughter of Himalaya is enshrined as a divine consort of Lord Siva. Another three temples in this complex are dedicated to Lord Raghunathji, Narsinghji at and Patal Bhairva Ji - the guardian deity.

An important deota often has another deota as its wazir and the wazir occupies a small temple adjoining the main one or his image is placed near the door. Thus Maheshra of Shingra is wazir to the temple of Bhima Kali at Sarahan ( gazetteer 1910 ). According to a report an erratic rock stone of a roof of the house, fixed on the way at the main entrance of this temple narrates the story of a royal traitor of ' Thoru'  village.

CONSTITUENTS OF MATTER IN SUKSHMA SHARIR OR JIVA

CONSTITUENTS OF MATTER IN SUKSHMA SHARIR OR JIVA

Matter consists of four (individual and) cumulative stages 1: Matter (Anna) 2: Life (Prāna) 3: Mind (Manas) and 4: Intelligence (Jnāna). Bliss (Ānanda) is the spirit. These are Kosas – sheaths: The four sheaths, layer upon layer veil the self. Self stands alone when the kosas fall; Self is King and likes his nakedness without all these sticky layers or Kosas. Self is self-supporting and self is Bliss. Self is the light of Purusa's consciousness by which we become aware of the insentient Prakrti (nature) and its gunas (modes).

The AnandaMaya kosa or the Bliss-Body or Pure Consciousness or the Absolute is Self itself, and is a chronicler and a repository of karma of this and past lives. This is the sheath of Consciousness and Bliss (Chinmaya) and made of Nada and Bindu.

Self is the companion of jivatma – the individual self and the Greater Self in the spiritual heart are like the two birds on a tree. The Self by itself is bliss, but man needs realization to find the light that is bliss. Man has four cumulative features but does not reach his inherent potential that is bliss, illumined Consciousness, if he does not strive for it. As you see, matter becomes finer from one stage to the next. Here is an illustration of evolution from the gross to subtle via Food sheath, Vital breath sheath, Mind sheath, Knowledge sheath and eventually to the Bliss sheath. When man strives for and gains perfection, he receives Ananda (Bliss); God according to the Vedas is Sat-Chit-Ananda– Satchidananda– Being, Consciousness, and Bliss. Bliss comes to man in Deep Sleep, when there are no mental Vrittis, modifications or thoughts. It is as if the individual self plugs into the Power Grid of the Universal Self (the origin of the individual self) every night in deep sleep. Without this infusion of nightly bliss, we are zombies.

This temporary life-sustaining nightly Bliss should not be mistaken for the Eternal Bliss that comes with liberation. The first four outer sheaths are matter; Matter and Mind have to come to a standstill for the individual self wrapped in Anandamaya Kosa to enjoy the Bliss of the Universal Self.

WORSHIP OF NATURE IN BHARAT ( INDIA )

WORSHIP OF "NATURE" in BHARAT ( INDIA)

The worship of "nature" first discussed in the oldest text of the world ,the Rig Veda. The Rig Veda provided us a scientific approach to nature. It was the for the very first time when we came across our pure wealth , nature.  Anyone, with a logical mind knows that Man alone can not survive on this planet – Trees and shrubs provide us valuable Oxygen and Food; Birds and Bees pollinate the flowers to form Fruits and later disperse their Seedsspreading the green cover; Terrestrial and Aquatic animals provide numerous products used by mankind since time immemorial.
Yet, in his greed for more and more resources, Man has managed to cut-down millions of hectares of forests and wipe out innumerable species off the face of this planet!!
Ancient Sages of Hinduism, recognized the importance of this diversity and with their immense fore-sight and ingenuity, included them in the popular Mythology.

The Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum) herb is anti-infective and sacred and should be worshiped every morning; the Cow (Gau-Mata) is compared to a Mother as it provides nourishment and its milk is an essential supplement to the vegan diet; plants should not be disturbed at night coz they are asleep (shows the knowledge of Nyctinasty!!); the Prasadam offered to God can not include articles obtained from killing animals etc..

The scriptures contain innumerable references to plants/animals/birds and marine life and consider each living being on this planet essential for a holistic growth and an Indian kid would generally imbibe and keep following these basic principles even after he grows up.
Even the oldest archaeological civilization of the Indian sub-continent, theIndus-Saraswati Culture had elements of animal worship as evidenced by the Zebu Bull, the Unicorn Seals and numerous mythical powerful animals depicted in their artwork.

Ecology in Hinduism

1. The FIRST and the Most Important Concept in Hinduism, is the belief of being related to every living being on the planet.
Mythologically, it finds mention in the legend of Rishi Kashyap who is considered the Father of not only the Living beings on this planet, but ALL other life forms in our Universe!

All living-beings including the demigods are siblings!

THE SATTVA ,RAJAS AND TAMAS ELEMENTS

THE SATTVA , RAJAS AND TAMAS Tattavas..

Sattva (absolute goodness) is intelligence; Rajas (Passion) is motion; and Tamas (darkness) is matter. Sattva is Maya. When Sattva is the pure element in Prakriti, it is called MAyA or MAya-Prakriti. When Sattva is contaminated with Rajas and Tamas, it is called Avidya or spiritual ignorance. When Brahman is reflected in Maya, He becomes Isvara. That's Isvara with Sattva guna. It is Maya-Brahman, who controls Maya.

Isvara or Maya-Brahman is Being (Sat), consciousness (Cit) in the process of creation and becoming, owns and controls Maya. Maya's becoming is a conscious process that runs unobstructed. MAyA-Sarira = Maya-Sarira. Avidya is a perishable Sarira. Sarira means body, not the kind with hands and feet. Body of knowledge does not have hands and feet. Avidya is a body of ignorance, negated or rendered extinct by body of knowledge. Likewise, Maya-Brahman or Isvara with Maya-Sarira has Maya under His control. His Will is MAyA-Sarira, by which He creates this world and thus is omniscient and omnipotent. PrAjna Sarira = Body of ignorance or Avidya.

The individual soul and not Brahman is the repository of Avidya PrAjna Sarira is Avidya; PrAjna is ignorance, which is experience of non-knowledge (I don't know anything). Ignorance or Avidya is the Causal Body, which obstructs the knowledge of ultimate truth, which is our own nature. Avidya is a mixture of Sattva, Rajas and Tamas. Sattva is intelligence and Taijasa or shining. Thus this Avidya has some knowledge (trace of Sattva) within it. Take the gold-bearing slurry: very little gold and a ton of slurry. This is known as Prajna within PrAjna (Supreme knowledge within ignorance). When the individual soul gets rid of Rajas and Tamas, and Sattva becomes his body, he sees past the world of objects (experience), perceives Brahman (Counter-experience) and understands his identity with Him. Rajas and Tamas are the slurry, upon removal of which the gold (or Sattva) becomes visible.

THE SUPREME CONSCIOUSNESS

SUPREME CONSCIOUSNESS

"In all directions simultaneously" means "without succession". You should feel the spatial vacuity in all directions and without succession. That is, you experience it instantaneously, not gradually, step by step. And the phrase "the Complete Vacuity comes about to him" means "he experiences Absolute Void all around". And this Absolute Void is really the unlimited space of Supreme Consciousness. There are two conditions to succeed in this practice: 1) yugapat (simultaneously). Remember: It is all at the same time, not stage after stage. You feel the void without succession. 2) nirvikalpamanāḥ (with a mind free from thoughts). To succeed in the technique your mind should be still enough before. A good method to achieve this is to concentrate on the breath. Every time you are sitting for meditation, begin your practice by concentrating on your breath. This concentration stills the mind. Afterward, you may do the aforesaid practice or any other one. You contemplate over a part or region of your own body as void now.

At the beginning, you practice this technique just for a little while. As you practice it more and more, you become liberated from thoughts and attain to the Śiva's state, which is free from any thoughts. The real "You" or Śiva is beyond mental processes. No thought can contain Him because He is the original source of mind. He is the root of all thought and not a mere mental object. He is indescribable because of His thought-free state. And He is You. When you realize this, you experience immense peace and bliss. It is that simple. The image of the world being completely burnt makes your mind thought-free.

The disappearance of the world is symbolic of the absence of knowable objects. When there is nothing to know, mind becomes introverted. And at that moment of absortion, you attain to the Śiva's state which is called here "the highest state of man". Even though it seems that a person attains to Śiva, you should not forget that he is always Śiva. In fact, everyone is Śiva.
