AN INSIGHT INTO BHAKTI YOGA

There are various paths through which a person can realise God. Our Vedas and Scriptures have shown innumerable ways to offer services to the Almighty. The paths are namely Hath yoga, Karma Yog, Naad Yog, Bhakti Yog and the other is to give charity in the name of Lord. People have different notions to follow their respective paths. The question arises which path paves the way to attain the Supreme Power of the Universe.
In the Bhagwaad Geeta in Chapter 6 The yoga of self- control, the path of Bhakti( worship) has been called the supreme and quintessential to realise the Supreme power i.e. the Almighty. Some people argue on this notion as they believe no matter whatever path you follow one is sure to reach the final destination. It is true but partially because the journey begins from their selected path but ends up in Bhakti Yoga as it purifies the disciple internally which is an integral part of spiritual development.
A person who does Karma yoga, no doubt he is carrying out his duties sincerely but without taking the name of Lord is of no meaning. Whereas a person who is donating his money in the service of Lord, without remembering his name, without being in the consciousness of Braham is also in vain. He may be able to acquire the Sadkarmas but he will not be able to enjoy the spiritual bliss required to realise the presence of God pervading in the entire Universe.
The disciple in the above mentioned Yogas will be able to generate material comforts for himself due to his Sadkarmas but would find no place in the abode of God. A person who follows the path of Bhakti will automatically generate all the goods for him in both the worlds. Therefore Bhakti Yoga should not be belittled as a person who travels through various other Yogas come ultimately to the Bhakti Yoga, the ultimate refuge for overcoming the miseries of the world and in the realisation of God.
